About Blake

Blake Morrison has spent over 15 years in journalism, with the last several focused exclusively on South Florida's unique environmental challenges. He moved to Fort Lauderdale specifically to cover these issues full-time, believing that what happens here — sea level rise, water quality, Everglades restoration — will shape environmental policy nationwide. Blake is methodical and document-driven; his public records requests are legendary among state agencies. When he's not reviewing permit applications or interviewing scientists, he's kayaking through the Everglades, volunteering with local conservation groups, or photographing birds at Wakodahatchee Wetlands. Blake is a UF journalism school grad who fell in love with Florida's wild places and is determined to help protect them.
