Our Mission
South Florida is more than beaches and nightlife. It's a global gateway, a laboratory for climate adaptation, and home to one of the most diverse populations in the country. We believe this region deserves journalism that matches its complexity.
Our mission is to shine a light on the stories that matter: the development reshaping our skylines, the political decisions affecting our communities, the environmental challenges threatening our future, and the culture that makes this place unlike anywhere else.
South Florida Standard was founded in 2025 to deliver in-depth reporting when legacy media is contracting. We're expanding coverage, not cutting it.
