Tania Cruz grew up in Coral Gables surrounded by good food and strong opinions about it. She graduated from the Culinary Institute of America but chose writing over the kitchen — though she still cooks elaborate Sunday dinners for family. Tania has covered South Florida's food and culture scene for nearly a decade and is known for her honest reviews, whether she's writing about a James Beard nominee or a Little Havana ventanita. She's been attending Art Basel since 2012 and knows the art world from collectors to street artists. When she's not at a restaurant opening or gallery event, Tania explores thrift stores for vintage finds, practices her salsa dancing, and hosts a legendary annual Noche Buena. She believes South Florida's cultural diversity is its greatest asset.
